September is right around the corner, and that means it’s almost time for the annual Barbecue! Come out and bring the whole family for food, fellowship, and four wheel drives. In the 80 Tech Forum there is a "What did you do with your 80 this weekend" thread. In that thread 80 owners post what they've been doing with their rigs. This include mods, engine swaps, wheeling trips, just posting a photo of it in the driveway and saying, "I looked at it" or "did an oil change" and things related to anything 80 series. 406 Cruisers and friends: I reached out to the BLM about bringing back our annual Revenue Flats cleanup for National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 26. The good news: BLM is willing to support us with a truck and dump trailer, trash bags, and PPE. Because of staffing shortages and scheduled vacations, they may not be able to have anyone there in person, so this will be a more informal, club-led cleanup. Diesel owners mark your calendars! We're going for a third consecutive year for our oddball diesel meet in Helena. We will meet up at the State Capitol starting around 10 AM on Saturday, October 17 to hang out, talk diesels and check out each other's rigs for a while. After a couple of hours we'll grab lunch somewhere and then head out for a group cruise on scenic backroads. We'll plan to wrap up late afternoon to allow people time to get home.
